Turkish Airlines was founded
in 1933. It was founded under the name under the name "STATE
AIRLINES ADMINISTRATION.” Then in 1938, the name was
changed to "General Directorate of State Airlines"
and was operated under Ministry of Transportation. Their first

in 1947. In 1956, the airline was reorganized and operated
under a special legislation.
The airline received their
first DC-9 jet aircraft in 1967. Over the years the travel
