Austrian
Airlines
In 1957 Air Austria and Austrian
Airways merged to form Austrian Airlines. Austrian Airlines
is part of the Austrian Group which is comprised of Austrian,
Lauda Air and Austrian Arrows. Austrian concentrates on providing
scheduled services, Austria Arrows main focus is regional
business, with Luada Air taking care of charter flights.
Austrian Airlines uses the
Vienna International Airport. This airport has an excellent
infrastructure and is run very efficiently. Upon arrival at
Vienna Airport, it should never be more than 30 minutes before
passengers on their connecting flight. If for some reason
there is a longer wait, passengers can relax in the comfortable
lounges or grab something to eat in one of the cafés.
Austrian also provides comfortable, convenient flights for
travel. The offer entertainment, good food and comfortable
seats. When you are traveling, you should have a suitable
travel insurance policy, for frequent flyers
there is multi trip travel insurance that will cover your
insurance needs for a specific period of time.
Austrian, Lauda Air and Austrian
Arrows joined the Star Alliance Network in 2000. This is the
largest airline alliance in the world. The alliance was established
in 1997. All together, the airlines of this group travel to
133 countries and 772 destinations in the world. Again with
everyone in the alliance, there are over 12, 700 flights and

travelers even more options and destinations. There are over
320,000 employees of the various airlines in the Star Alliance
Network. They all work to provide travelers with a safe and
pleasant trip.
Along with the other partners
of the Austrian Airlines Group, Austrian is able to travel
