Mitsubishi Cars

Today, Mitsubishi is a massive company, not aiming primarily at the automobile industry, but aiming instead at a wider array of products. Despite this they are still able to produce some stunning vehicles, very popular on the roads today.

The Mitsubishi company itself began as a shipping company, running a service to China and Russia, in eighteen seventy. Throughout this period of time various forms of competition began to spring up and the company began to diversify (something quite revolutionary for the times). Around eighteen eighty five Mitsubishi bought a copper mine and a coal mine, in order to sell these raw goods. Further to this Mitsubishi leased a shipbuilding yard and began to produce the first steamships made of steel in Japan which had not been imported.

Diversification continued and in nineteen seventeen the company first turned its hand towards automobile production, eventually becoming the arm called Mitsubishi Motors. Not simply being happy with producing in the marketplace for commercial success, Mitsubishi made many great innovations including creating Japan’s first diesel engine and four wheel passenger cars.

Popular Mitsubishi cars in the UK today include:

Mitsubishi Colt – with a racing car design the Colt can still be obtained with a smaller engine size (starting at one point one litres and seventy five brake horse power) for a stylish design at a low cost. The range starts at just under nine thousand pounds up to twelve thousand five hundred pounds for the top of the range Mitsubishi Colt 1.5 Elegance (car insurance group six).

Mitsubishi Outlander – a large four wheel drive vehicle the Outland is only available in automatic versions with a two point four litre engine. Power for the vehicles remains the same throughout the range however with roughly a three thousand pound difference between the top of the range and the bottom. At the top, what you get for your money is the Mitsubishi ‘Duel Fuel’ engine system (top of the range is car insurance group fifteen).
