Mazda
Cars
The unique sounding name of the automobile producing company
comes from an Zoroastrian god named Ahura Mazda, also chosen
because of its similarities with the name of the company founder
- Mr Jujiro Matsuda, originally started the company under
the name of Toyo Cork Kogyo Co in nineteen twenty to create
and manufacture machine tools.
Moving on from machine tools, in nineteen thirty one the
company produced its first three-wheel truck which, over the
years proved a successful product. However it was sometime
later, in nineteen sixty, and after the company had changed
its name to the official title we know today, that it produced
a two-door passenger vehicle aimed towards the masses.
More recently, Mazda has flourished with recognition of the
innovative driving systems, sleek design and great performance.
This was exemplified in the Le-Mans twenty four hour race
in nineteen ninety one, with a Mazda 787B winning the prestigious
event.
Popular Mazda models in the United Kingdom include:
Mazda 2 – one of the smaller Mazda
models with a smaller engine size (the first in the range
has seventy five brake horse power), even though it is compact

insurance premiums to be cheap.

an elongated shape giving it a speedy, sleek look. Engine
